Orquesta del Plata
Buenos Aires tango. From Mataderos to new stages.
Rooted in the Milonga at Teatro del Plata in Mataderos, Buenos Aires, the orchestra celebrates the essence of traditional tango while exploring new horizons. Poly Pérez is its artistic director and double bass player.
Its repertoire spans tangos, waltzes and milongas, played with a fresh, energetic and deeply emotional approach.
With Marcelo Mazzarello it presented El Troesma, a musical and theatrical tribute to Carlos Gardel, at the 2025 Buenos Aires Tango Festival. That same year it toured Madrid: Matadero Madrid, Casa de Vacas in Retiro Park, Puente del Rey and the season launch of Teatros del Canal.
